record...

I've posted something for seven days straight. I can't believe it. I'm off to a good start.

I did my taxes today and I will be getting 74 bucks back. Thank you government. I plan on buying a new cover for my macbook and a new pair of Toms.

sorry these posts have been so short but I am tired and I have been busy. Maybe I will start posting things between my international finance and managerial economics class, it's the only time I have a break tomorrow.

Yessssshhhhhh

So today I went to school and everyone loved my braids. I'm so pleased at the way they turned out. I know the next time I do them they will turn out even better. I will also know to a lot more time to complete them. School went ok, I'm starting to get a bit stressed about my international finance class. I've been reading but I still feel a bit behind some of the people in that class. My first exam is on the 10th and it's basically all essay questions. I need to know everything about the Euro crisis, Japan's sovereign debt, U.S economic growth and why are all these things interconnected. Oh and he grades competitively meaning the more you know compared to others in the class the higher your grade will be. Why oh why am I taking this class.

I watched the season 4 premiere of Rupaul's Drag Race. If I were a guy I would more than likely be a drag queen. They are so beautiful, and creative, and lovable.

I have a feeling this week is going to be so slow.

i'm still braiding

I'm still braiding, but I finished the front and the back of my gigantic head. I just have it up in a bun, so you won't notice that the middle is not finished. I will probably be finished sometime this week, whenever I have time.

braids, braids, braids

I'm taking a little break. I've been putting in yarn braids since three, with a couple of breaks to eat. They are coming along, but I have a ton left to do. They are going to be amazing when i'm done. I am doing black and brown braids. I've been watching Rupaul's drag race since 3. Pictures when I'm done

I miss Andy

I just finished watching the first episode of season 3 of Spartacus and man do I miss Andy Whitfield. This role was made for him. I just picture him on the screen and think to myself, Andy would have been so much better, looked so much hotter, etc. I actually liked the episode I can't wait for Glabur to die. I watched the first episode online, so I'm going to have to hunt to see future episodes. I tried to save money and I told ATT to take Starz off because it was expensive and they weren't showing much but now I'm regretting it.

Oh Kiran came back from India and brought me back the coolest bag, scarf and yummy treats. I am so thankful to have wonderful, international friends. I've been craving Pista burfi for a while and it was so good, just like I remembered.

I also found a saloon that specializes in natural hair. They do everything. I'm thinking about getting some nice long box braids. I need to make some money at work.

This has been a good friday so far, no quizzes and I get to relax for a bit. I will start reading and studying tomorrow. I'm starting to feel the pressure this semester already

one more day

We didn't end up going to school early today which was good for me. I'm so ready for the weekend. Words can not describe how tired I am. My Wall Street Journals are finally being delivered regularly I was beginning to think someone was taking them from my porch. I think i'm going to reorganize my room this weekend and read. I haven't baked anything in a long while. My neighbor's daughter had a birthday today so I might make her cupcakes this weekend. They even brought me and Nisha some Southwest chili. I think I should do something nice for them.

I'm currently looking up some kind of deep conditioning recipe for my hair. It is growing so much and I want it to stay moisturized.

I'm dreading tomorrow

I'm starting to hate Tuesday and Thursday, not because of my classes but because I have to be at work practically all day. It is going to be a long day.

I bought new shampoo the other day and it is 98% natural. My hair is growing a lot. Right now I have it braided up in a protective style. Ok about this shampoo, I got it for a really good deal. That was one of the main reasons I bought it in the first place. I went to Sprout's (which is an organic store) to buy some fruits and veggies. I decided since I was there to stop by their Health and Beauty aisle and I notice that they had Burt's Bees shampoo and conditioner on sale. I've been wanting to try their shampoo out for a while, and these were only like 4 bucks a piece compared to their usual 9 dollars. So I picked up the More Moisture Raspberry and Brazil Nut shampoo and conditioner, because my hair has been dry and I thought this would be a nice change for my hair. I have been co washing my hair and I haven't found a shampoo that I liked and the co washing with the conditioner has been keeping my hair clean so I felt like if I didn't like the shampoo I could just give it to someone else. Well anyway I get home and I decide to try these two products out. The shampoo has a nice smell, and it doesn't really lather up. That isn't really a bad thing but I  felt paranoid, it felt like my scalp and hair wasn't getting clean and then I probably ended up using too much shampoo to over compensate for the lack of suds. When I rinsed the shampoo out my hair felt like crap, it literally felt so dry and so brittle. I don't know why????? I then used the conditioner just like recommended on the bottle. The consistency of the conditioner was thick and creamy, which I loved. The smell was wonderful and after rinsing out made my hair feel healthy and soft. I will add this conditioner to my hair regimen but as far as the shampoo I'm not too sure about. Maybe I will look on the internet for things I can mix with it or dilute it with something, I have no idea. I do know that I will continue to used the conditioner in the future.

see the thing is....

I need a redo...seriously. I am trying to keep up with this blog starting today. My day started out really bad but then it turned out really great.

The day started out just like any other Tuesday. I actually woke up pretty refreshed, figured out what I was going to where and headed out to work because I didn't have class until 2:00pm. Me and Nisha are driving along about to pull into the commuter west parking lot when all of a sudden one of her tires busted. We immediately decided to call a mechanic and we found a lovely one, a nice guy who I had fix my car when one of the sensors went out. At the shop they fixed the car for cheap... well it was like 160 bucks and then we went on our way. I felt bad because we noticed her tire was a little flat and we went to Discount Tire to have them put more air in it and they told us to have it replaced, but we didn't so it cost us in the end. On the plus side I didn't go to work or class.

Later the Fed Ex guy shows up at our door and does the little knock and drop thing I open the package he left and it was the book that I ordered for my Macro Theory class. I was trying to save money and my professor said that I could order the past edition because the only thing that was different were the page numbers essentially. I find the 6th edition of the text book for 21 bucks on Amazon, but when I opened the box I found that I was staring at the cover of the 7th edition which happens to be the current edition. I just saved 180 dollars. I'm hoping that this will continue with the other books I purchased.

Ok now I am extremely content with my day and the Fed Ex guy comes back to my porch and tells me that he forgot one of my boxes and it was my new laptop. I've been waiting a while for it but finally it is here, so maybe my posts will be more frequent. I've been spending much of the time trying to transfer my pictures and files so I can't wait till that is all complete.
